Marchi Wins DeWALT Guaranteed Tough Invitational

NAMPA, Idaho – Going 3-for-3 at the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) DeWALT Guaranteed Tough Invitational, presented by Express Employment Professionals, 2008 PBR World Champion Guilherme Marchi earned his second BFTS victory of the season.

Marchi rode all four of the bulls he faced during the weekend, including his 15/15 Bucking Battle opponent on Saturday night. He earned a combined total of 500 event points for his first-place finish in the Built Ford Tough Championship Round and in the DeWalt Guaranteed Tough Invitational event aggregate and picked up another 90 points with his second-place finish in the 15/15 Bucking Battle.

The 590 total points moved him into the No. 5 spot in the PBR world standings.

Marchi rode King Buck for 89.25 points in the championship round to earn the victory.

“I feel good,” Marchi said. “I took the time off at Easter to hang out on my ranch, ride horses with my kids and take time with my family. I had good bulls this weekend and I felt really good, really strong.”

Mason Lowe, who entered the championship round in the lead in the aggregate, was on pace to win the first BFTS event of his career, but finished in second as he covered 2 out of 3 bulls on the weekend.

Lowe earned a total of 375 points toward the world standings for his performance.

Joao Ricardo Vieira, the No. 1 bull rider in the PBR world standings,Tanner Byrne and Kasey Hayes rounded out the Top 5. They picked up a total of 290, 165 and 145 points, respectively, toward the world standings.

With a bull score of 46.5 out of 50 points, I’m a Gangster Too (Jeff Robinson/TNT Bucking Bulls) was named the Salem NationaLease High-marked Bull in Nampa as he bucked off Eduardo Aparecido in 1.83 seconds during the 15/15 Bucking Battle on Saturday Night.
