Marcilio and Whitehorse Win Round 1 of Velocity Tour Portland Chute Out

PORTLAND, Maine – Alex Marcilio (Macaubal, Brazil) and Keyshawn Whitehorse (The Woodlands, Texas) tied for the lead on night one of the (Professional Bull Riders) Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour (RVT) Portland Chute Out Friday night at the Cross Insurance Arena.

Marcilio and Whitehorse each earned 88 points on Friday night. Marcilio covered Lab Rat (Cornwell Bucking Bulls/Circle G/Coleman) while Whitehorse rode Air Bender (Rockin S Ranch/Cornwell Bucking Bulls).

Third place was secured by Tye Chandler (Celina, Texas) after earning 87 points on Hidden Figures (Torres Brothers).

Zane Cook (Fort Gibson, Oklahoma) and Brian Canter (Randleman, North Carolina) ended Round 1 tied for fourth. Cook hit 8 seconds aboard Brain Games (J Bar W Ranch) for 85.5 points and Canter rode What’s App (Torres Brothers) for the same amount of points.

Night two of the Portland Chute Out will be tomorrow night, September 23 at 7 p.m. ET at the Cross Insurance Arena.

The 2017 Velocity Tour will culminate with the Velocity Tour Finals at South Point Arena in Las Vegas on Oct. 28-30, leading into the PBR’s Built Ford Tough World Finals, Nov. 1-5 at T-Mobile Arena.
