Mauney Out for Kansas City

PUEBLO, Colo. – According to the PBR competition department, 2013 World Champion J.B. Mauney will not be competing at the Caterpillar Classic in Kansas City, Missouri, this weekend due to his bruised left groin and pelvis.

Mauney is expected to still compete at the Choctaw Casino Resort Iron Cowboy, powered by Kawasaki Strong, and is using this weekend to rest the injuries that have been affecting him since Crack The Whip hit him with his horn during the 15/15 Bucking Battle in New York last month.

The 28-year-old is ranked fifth in the world standings and is tied for second on the BFTS with three round wins. Mauney has ridden 10-of-23 bulls on the Built Ford Tough Series.
