PUEBLO, Colo. – J.B. Mauney has informed the PBR that he will not be competing at the First Premier Bank PremierBankCard Invitational this coming weekend in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Mauney is set to undergo an MRI on Saturday morning in North Carolina to find the extent of his injuries after he was hurt during Round 2 of the Fresno Invitational last weekend.
The 2013 World Champion plans on sending the MRI to Dr. Tandy Freeman for further diagnosis.
On Sunday, it was originally believed that Mauney may have fractured his left fibula and tore ligaments in his left ankle when Bring It On stepped on his back when the bull tossed Mauney in 6.8 seconds.
However, according to Mauney, X-rays on Monday showed that Mauney has not fractured his fibula. Therefore, he will now undergo an MRI to see if he possibly tore his left ACL during the wreck.
