FORMAT – Nashville is a head-to-head, bracket-style format that pits the Top 36 riders against one another in an 8-second duel. The rider with the highest score – or the longest buck off time in the event both riders fail to make a qualified ride – will advance. The riders eliminated in Round 1 and 2 on Friday are given another opportunity to ride and win through the second chance bracket that will take place on Saturday. The total purse available is $250,000 with the event champion, the head-to-head bracket winner, receiving $75,000 while the aggregate score winner will receive $27,000. There is a chance the event champion and aggregate winner will be the same.

BAD BOY MOWERS BOUNTY BULL: The Bad Boy Mowers Bounty Bull will be a PBR-designated bull in the Round 2 of the Music City Knockout. The rider in the second round that draws the bounty bull and successfully covers it, will receive the $75,000 bonus award. In the event the ride is not completed, the entire amount will carry over to next season.

POSSIBLE POINTS – This season, the PBR Built Ford Tough Series designated four events as “Majors.” These events offer higher payouts and word standings points than other regular-season PBR events. This year the PBR Majors were held in New York City (Monster Energy Buck Off at the Garden), Arlington, Texas (Iron Cowboy), Las Vegas (Last Cowboy Standing) and Nashville (Music City Knockout). Nashville will have 2,995 total points on the line compared to the 2,015 at a two-day BFTS event and 2,415 at a three-day BFTS event.

ON TAP – The Built Ford Tough Series will stop in Tulsa, Oklahoma for the 12th year in a row. The BOK Center will host the Express Employment Professionals Classic presented by Osage Casino on Saturday, August 27 at 7:00 PM CT and Sunday, August 28 at 2:00 PM CT.
