New RMEF Layer on onX Hunt App Helps Hunters

MISSOULA, Mont. — The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is excited to announce a new RMEF layer in the onX Hunt app that assists hunters with public access and other helpful information.

“For years now, the team at onX Hunt has been ahead of the game in developing and translating technology into boots-on-the-ground knowledge for elk hunters. And now they’ve done it again,” said Steve Decker, RMEF vice president of Marketing.

The new RMEF layer is free for those who purchase the onX Hunt app. It highlights access points to RMEF land projects including details such as project names, acreage, boundaries, managing partners, and whether access and hunting are permitted. Additionally, the layer features historic and current elk range.

“onX is very excited to continue our long partnership with RMEF by launching the new RMEF layer.” said Matt Seidel, onX Hunt product manager. “This new layer brings together all of the hard work that RMEF has done and gives it a visual representation. When you see the amount of projects and access sights on the map it really hits home how hard RMEF has been working for hunters.”

For a limited time, onX Hunt is offering a 20 percent discount to those who sign up to for an app membership, with a portion of the proceeds going toward RMEF’s conservation mission.
