Night One of the Reno Rodeo Kicks Off with Extreme Bulls

RENO, Nev., (June 15, 2017) – The first night of the 10-day Reno Rodeo kicked off with Extreme Bulls bringing some of the top professional riders to the 98th annual event.

Trey Benton III came out on top with a two-ride score of 174.5. Benton rode Spotted Demon for a score of 88 in the championship round. Benton’s Reno Rodeo win adds to a string of victories, so far this year, he has won the San Angelo (Texas) Rodeo the Red Bluff (Calif.) Round-Up and the Hugo (Okla.) PRCA Rodeo. He was also named PRCA Resistol Bull Riding Rookie of the Year 2012.

Tied for second place was last year’s Extreme Bulls winner Brennon Eldred, who won the Silver Spurs in his rookie year of 2013, and Tim Bingham, who ended 2016 with a world standings place of 12th and a WNFR standings place of 10th.

Second ride: 88 on Big Stone, Moreno & Growney Rodeo’s Spotted Demon

2. Brennon Eldred, Sulphur, TX
First ride: 87.5 on All In Pro Rodeos’ Tiger Shark
Second ride: 85 on Diamond G Rodeo’s Tawa II
Two-ride total: 172.5

2. Tim Bingham, Honeyville, UT
First ride: 83 on Flying U’s MJ Red Zone
Second ride: 89.5 on All In Pro Rodeos’ Uncle Fester
Two-ride total: 172.5
