Night Two of the California Rodeo Shows Increase in Attendance
Fight Hunger Night brought 11 Produce Mascots to the Track
SALINAS, CA – Night two of the 106th California Rodeo Salinas got two thumbs up from fans. Mutton Busting, fireworks and the Ehcapa Bareback Riders were a big hit. 13,691 people attended to watch the Rodeo and track action. Attendance was up over 511 tickets, or 3.9%, from the Friday performance in 2015. The Produce Mascot Race stole the show on the track to benefit Ag Against Hunger. Mascots from Bengard Ranches, Church Brothers, Dole Fresh Vegetables, Duda Farm Fresh Foods, Fresh
Express, Naturipe Berry Farms, Ocean Mist Farms, Pacific International Marketing,
Tanimura & Antle, Taylor Farms and The Nunes Company bounced down the track on inflatable horses with Church Brothers’ Lettuce Maximus, a repeat champion, taking the glory.
