One Down, Three to Go! Successful Opening Performance Raised Awareness for Breast Cancer

SALINAS, CA – The opening performance of the 105th California Rodeo Salinas was colorful and entertaining! Cowboys, cowgirls and rodeo fans donned pink to show their support for Wrangler’s Tough Enough to Wear Pink (TETWP) night presented by Rabobank and $1 from each ticket sold tonight will be donated to the cause. 9,938 people attended and watched the Rodeo and track action. Attendance was up 948 tickets and 10.6% over the Thursday performance in 2014.

Under the direction of Henry Dill, the Track was full of highlights as Taylor Howell from Sonora, California was crowned Miss California Rodeo Salinas 2015 and rodeo fans were treated to another exciting performance of Cowboy Kenny’s Steel Rodeo Tour as they completed high flying aerial stunts. Other highlights included the McMillan Family Trick Riders, the popular freestyle bullfights and fireworks. Professional rodeo cowboys kept spectators attention in the arena with fierce competition and rodeo action; full results can be found here:
