Tucson, Ariz.  – Chase Outlaw (Hamburg, Arkansas) claimed his first PBR (Professional Bull Riders) event victory of the season after winning the Cooper Tires Take the Money and Ride, presented by the Ak-Chin Indian Community, on Sunday afternoon at the Tucson Convention Center.

Outlaw went 3-for-3, capped by an 89.25-point ride on Chantilly Lace (Dakota Rodeo/Chad Berger/Clay Strove) in the Built Ford Tough Championship Round to secure the win and 542.5 world points. Outlaw is now the No. 23 bull rider in the world standings heading into the PBR Built Ford Tour Tough World Finals in Las Vegas on Nov. 2-6.

Kaique Pacheco (Itatiba, Brazil) reclaimed the No.1 position in the world standings by finishing in second place after his own 3-for-3 weekend. Pacheco closed out the last regular-season event with a 90.25-point trip aboard Crazy Horse (Rocking Rodeo Co.) and picked up 390 points toward the world standings.

Silvano Alves (Pilar Do Sul, Brazil) also went 3-for-3, including an 86-point ride on Jailhouse Jr. (Rocking Rodeo/ Ricky Carpenter) in the championship round, to finish in third place. Alves now sits at 20th in the world standings and earned 215 world points.

2008 World Champion Guilherme Marchi (Itupeva, Brazil) placed fourth, also going 3-for-3. Marchi rode Roll Your Own (Dakota Rodeo/ Chad Berger) for 86-points in the championship round and picked up 140 world points. He leaves Tucson ranked 12th in the world.

Stetson Lawrence (Williston, North Dakota) rounded out the Top 5 by going 3-for-3 over the weekend. His 88.5-point ride on Crossed Fingers (Rocking Rodeo Co.) in the championship round earned him a total of 115 points toward the world standings over the weekend. Lawrence is currently No. 21 in the world standings.

The Cooper Tires Take the Money and Ride event was the final stop on the 2016 PBR BFTS tour before the Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas on Nov. 2-6 at T-Mobile Arena. After five days of competition, the bull rider who has earned the most PBR world standings points during the 2016 season will be crowned the 2016 PBR World Champion. The winner will receive the coveted $10,000 World Championship belt buckle and a $1 million bonus.

The BFTS is televised every week on CBS, CBS Sports Network – the home of the PBR – and networks around the world. BFTS telecasts are produced for the PBR under a multi-year agreement with David Neal Productions, a Los Angeles-based production company led by 34-time Emmy® Award winner and Peabody Award winner David Neal, who serves as executive producer.
