Pacheco Wins Round 2

Brazilian rider Kaique Pacheco continued his climb up the world standings, covering Little Red Jacket for 89.5 points to win Round 2 of the Bass Pro Chute Out in St. Louis on Saturday.

With the round win, Pacheco earned 100 world standings points and climbed to No. 5 in the world standings after Round 2.

Pacheco was followed in the round by Cody Nance, who covered Raven Flyer for 88 points and earned 60 world standings points in the process.

Renato Nunes finished third in the round, making the whistle aboardMissouri Boat Ride for 87.75 points and 50 world standings points.

Reese Cates overcame a shoulder injury to ride Damn Right for 86.5 points and a fourth place finish in the round. Cates earned 40 world standings points. J.W. Harris wrapped up fifth place with 85.25 points aboard The Commander. Harris earned 30 world standings points for the finish.

Saturday’s action also included the second 15/15 Bucking Battle of the 2015 season. Chase Outlaw won the bonus event, covering Crack The Whip for 89.25 points and earning 150 points toward the world standings. Pacheco continued his stellar night, riding Pound The Alarm for 88.5 points to finish second and earn 90 world standings points. Valdiron de Oliveira was the only other rider to record a qualified ride, getting 86 points aboard Little Gremlin for 75 world standings points.

There was a bit of a shakeup in the overall world standings after the 15/15 Bucking Battle, which Outlaw climbing into fifth place, knocking Pacheco into sixth place.

Round 3 action at the Bass Pro Chute Out gets underway in St. Louis at 2 p.m. CT in St. Louis.
