Paulo Ferreira Lima is Victorious at the Real Time Pain Relief Frontier Communications Invitational

ONTARIO, Calif. –  The PBR’s (Professional Bull Riders) 2018 Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour (RVT) season was kicked off with a win by Paulo Ferreira Lima (Bezerros, Brazil).  He earned the victory Saturday night at the Frontier Communications Invitational inside Citizens Business Bank Arena.

Lima earned the victory after an 86.5-point ride aboard Major Hadley (Jerry Brown Bucking Bulls) in Round 1 and an 87.5-point ride on Hell Pony (Julio Moreno / Dallas Schott) in the championship round.  With the win, he secured 80 points toward the world standings and $6,850.

Chase Robbins (Marsing, Idaho) solidified the second-place slot. He rode Dantastic (Tugger X Bucking Bulls) for 85 points in Round 1 and Area Code (Western Rodeos, Inc.) for 87.5 points in the championship round. Robbins won $4,850 and 50 points toward the world standings.

Third place went to Robson Aragao (Aracaju Sergipe, Brazil) who snatched 30 points toward the world standings and $2,700. Aragao rode Cowboy Up (Julio Moreno / Dallas Schott) in Round 1 for 83.5 points and earned 85.5 points aboard Blackout (Julio Moreno / Dallas Schott) in the championship round.

Claudio Montanha Jr. (Ribeirao dos Indios, Brazil) ranked fourth after riding for 87.5 points in Round 1 on Gas Pedal (Humpz and Horns / KMH) and riding Dream Catcher (Evan Matthews) for 80.5 points in the championship round. He will be taking home a check for $2,600 and 20 points toward world standings.

Cody Casper (Pacific, Washington) rounded out the Top 5 after he rode Hooligan (Evan Matthews) in Round 1 for 82.5 points and Peanut Brittle (Western Rodeos, Inc.) for 84.5 points in the championship round. Casper earned $1,140 and 15 points toward the world standings.

The next stop on the Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour will be in Bakersfield, California, for the Bakersfield Buck Off on November 18 at Rabobank Arena.

The 2018 Velocity Tour will culminate with the Velocity Tour Finals, leading into the PBR’s World Finals, Nov. 7-11 at T-Mobile Arena.
