BRAZIL – Kaique Pacheco went 4-for-4 to claim the victory at the Monster Energy PBR Brazil Touring Pro Division event in Americana.

The No. 2 rider in the world standings earned 60 points toward the world standings and now trails world leader Eduardo Aparecido by 120 points.

“I am very happy with this victory, which is very important for me,” Pacheco told PBR Brazil’s Jorge Cardoso. “For my career, this is one of the biggest events in Brazil, and for the World Championship these points will help me a lot.”

After a disappointing 2-for-4 showing in Divinopolis the previous weekend, Pacheco rebounded in Round 1 of Americana with an 86-point ride on Black Friday. He followed that with an 83.75-point trip aboard Deus Grego, which put him in striking distance of the event title. In Round 3, Pacheco delivered again with an 83.25-point ride on Manequim before closing with a spectacular 90-point ride on Cassununga in the championship round.

“I felt I could win the title of the event. Keeping constant like this is important,” Pacheco said. “I had help from my friends to study each of the bulls.”

Pacheco had to hold off fellow BFTS stars Claudio Montanha Jr., who finished second in the event (30 world points), and Guilherme Marchi who finished in fifth place (10 world points).

“The other riders who entered the final were fine too,” Pacheco said. “I was lucky to make a good ride and get the title.”

Final results:

1. Kaique Pacheco – 60 points
2. Cláudio Montanha Jr. – 30 points
3. Junior Patrick – 20 points
4. Fernando Henrique Novais – 15 points
5. Guilherme Marchi – 10 points
6. Mike Lee – 5 points
