PBR Celebrates Its Athletes with
the Month of the Bulls

PUEBLO, Colo. ― Every Professional Bull Riders (PBR) event includes two athletes — the bull rider and the bull. Every day during June, the PBR will celebrate the bulls — those 2,000 pound athletes who are the heart of the PBR.

Starting today, the PBR will highlight the bulls with stories, photo galleries, videos and daily social media posts. Additionally, one video each week will debut on social media and showcasing the bulls of the sport.

The PBR’s biggest athletes will be explored from birth to retirement, along with the stock contractors who take care of, and love, these animals. The welfare and treatment of the bulls are paramount to the success of the PBR, therefore the organization is committed to ensuring the health, safety and respect of each bull that enters a PBR arena. Each aspect of these practices will be explored during the month.

Stories and videos about such bulls as Sweet Pro’s Long John (D&H Cattle Co.), Percolator (Jeff Robinson Bucking Bulls), Mick E. Mouse (Marlene Henry) and Smooth Operator (Dakota Rodeo-Berger/Struve) will highlight how these athletes are cared for and discuss their feeding schedules, where they sleep, how they travel and what they do after retirement.

Written content will also include blogs by Women of the PBR. LeAnn Hart, Kindra Moreno, Paige Stout and Marlene Henry – women who have first-hand knowledge of some of the PBR’s best bucking bulls – will provide an insight into these animals that very few have seen.

As June 1 is fan-favorite Bushwacker’s birthday, the Month of the Bulls will kick off with a birthday tribute to this three-time PBR World Champion Bull.

To help fans celebrate the bulls of the PBR, all bull items on will be on sale for the month of June. This sale will include all Bushwacker merchandise which will be offered at a special discount from June 1 to June 9 to celebrate the PBR’s greatest bovine athlete.
