PBR Releases Second Half of its 2019 Schedule

By: Heather Croze

PUEBLO, Colo. ― The second half of the 2019 PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Unleash The Beast (UTB) schedule begins a stretch-run that will see the world’s best bull riders vying for the No. 1 ranking in the PBR World Standings and a chance to become the next World Champion.

The back half of the schedule will consist of nine events stretching from Fairfax, Virginia’s EagleBank Arena in the east to the Honda Center in Anaheim, California in the west, along with trips to Oklahoma, Texas, Idaho, Minnesota and North Carolina. The 2019 UTB season will wrap up with the PBR World Finals on Nov. 6-10 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The PBR will head back to Houston, Texas for the first time since 2012 with an August 17-18 date at the Fertitta Center. The last time the league was in “Space City,” Chase Outlaw earned his first career event win at the elite level.

The first event of the final four months of the season will begin in Tulsa, Oklahoma’s BOK Center on August 10-11. This will be the second consecutive year that the PBR has opened the second half stretch run in the “Oil Capital of the World.”

The month of August will end in Nashville at Bridgestone Arena on Aug. 24-25. The Jack Daniels Music City Knockout will be the final PBR Major of the season and will prove opportunistic for riders to earn double points and double money.

In September, the PBR will visit Anaheim on Sept. 6-7, Springfield, Missouri on Sept. 13-15 and Fairfax, Virginia the weekend of Sept. 21-22.

On October 4-5, the PBR returns to Minneapolis for the first time in over a decade when the top bull riders in the world visit the recently renovated Target Center. Then the league travels to Greensboro, North Carolina for the second consecutive year on Oct. 12-13.

The Ford Idaho Center in Nampa, Idaho will host its 19th PBR event this fall, but that event weekend will be announced in conjunction with the finalized CBS Broadcast schedule.

The PBR World Finals will take place on Nov. 6-10 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The PBR Unleash The Beast events are televised on CBS and CBS Sports Network. The 2019 second half TV schedule will be shared later this spring.
