The PBR returns to Laughlin, Nevada, Sept. 19-20.

PUEBLO, Colo. – Get ready bull riding fans. The Professional Bull Riders have partnered with the Laughlin Tourism Commission to bring the PBR back to Laughlin, Nevada, after nearly a decade.

LTC, comprised of the Golden Nugget Laughlin, Tropicana Laughlin, River Palms, Edgewater, Colorado Belle, Harrah’s Laughlin and Pioneer Gambling Hall, strives to bring the country’s best sports and entertainment to the city by the Colorado River which, this year, includes bull riding under the stars.

The Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series, which last visited southern Nevada in 2005, will stop at the Laughlin Events Center, Friday and Saturday, Sept. 19-20, for the BFTS in Laughlin. This two-day bull riding event will feature more than two hours of non-stop, jaw-dropping, 8-second battles between 150-pound men and 2,000-pound bulls each night. The audience can expect to be thrilled and left on the edge of their seat from the intensity and excitement of the “toughest sport on dirt.”

“Not only do the fans enjoy the Laughlin event, it was also one of the PBR’s favorite stops,” said Jim Haworth, Chairman and CEO of the PBR. “Everyone was always very hospitable and appreciative. The PBR really looked forward to spending the weekend there. As an outdoor venue, it makes for a very unique and memorable experience for all. We’re very happy to be returning.”

Tickets for the Sept. 19-20 event are on sale now. Prices start at $25. They can be purchased at the Laughlin Event Center Box Office, the Laughlin Chamber of Commerce or via phone at 877-344-1187. The bull riding action begins at 8 p.m. on Friday and 7 p.m. on Saturday.

The BFTS in Laughlin will showcase the world’s Top 35 bull riders competing for their share of the $140,000 total event purse. As one of the last events of the regular season, the cowboys will be hanging on for dear life to also earn every point possible in order to qualify for the $2 million season finale – the Built Ford Tough World Finals.

Laughlin is the 23rd stop on the 2014 BFTS and one of only 25 cities to host the series this year. It was the first and only outdoor event on the PBR’s BFTS in its early years and will be one of only two this season.

Riders currently scheduled to compete include six former PBR World Champions: J.B. Mauney (2013), Silvano Alves (2012, 2011), Renato Nunes, (2010), Kody Lostroh (2009), Guilherme Marchi (2008) and Mike Lee (2004). Also expected to ride are rookie sensations Gage Gay and Tanner Byrne, and veterans L.J. Jenkins, Sean Willingham and Kasey Hayes.
