PRCA Sends Condolences to Bull Rider Mason Lowe’s Family

The PRCA would like to send its thoughts and prayers to bull rider Mason Lowe’s wife, Abbey, his family, friends and the entire rodeo/bull riding community after Lowe passed away Tuesday night after suffering injuries during a non-sanctioned bull riding event at the National Western Stock Show at the Denver Coliseum.

Lowe, 25, grew up in Exeter, Mo. — a town of fewer than 800 people — and started competing in bull riding at a young age.

Austin Shirley met Lowe rodeoing eight or nine years ago through a mutual friend, according to The Denver Post.

“Hell, he was a cowboy’s cowboy,” Shirley told The Post in a message. “He could rope, ride and cover any bull. He never forgot where he came from (when) he made it big time and never forgot his roots.

“He was just an all-around great guy and someone you were proud to call a friend.”

People on social media have been sending their condolences and support to Lowe’s wife, Abbey, family and friends.

Lowe was a former member of the PRCA.
