Registration Now Open for Farm Safety Day at Stampede Park

Calgary – Registration is now open for the Calgary Stampede’s Farm Safety Day, supported by AltaLink. This FREE initiative is aimed at educating and empowering rural students in grades six to nine through a series of fun, interactive activities.

On Tuesday, May 16, 2017, students will be encouraged to take part in various hands-on farm and rural safety sessions at Stampede Park, including livestock handling, equipment safety, working with electricity, distracted driving, first aid and more. Teachers may secure a spot for their class by pre-registering. There is no cost for schools participating in this event, and funding is available to assist with bussing costs.
