Reno Rodeo Foundation Denim Drive Joins Midtown Black

Support Local Businesses and Reno Rodeo Denim Drive in Midtown on Black Friday

RENO, NEV. – Support local small businesses and clothe children in need at the 4th Annual Midtown Black Friday Denim Drive on Friday, Nov. 25 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Statewide Lighting & Accent. Come out and get a Reno Rodeo coloring book or give steer roping a shot on a roping dummy. Stop by the Western Nevada tent located in the Statewide Lighting parking lot where Denim Drive collection bins will be located for donation drop offs.

WHEN: Friday, Nov. 25 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

WHERE: Statewide Lighting & Accent, 1311 S. Virginia St., Reno, NV. 89502

WHO: Reno Rodeo Association Team 355 volunteers will be at the event accepting donations, helping kids color and teaching kids how to rope.

WHY: The 2016 Reno Rodeo Denim Drive is now underway and continues through Dec. 31, collecting new and slightly used clothing as well as monetary donations across 14 Northern Nevada counties for abused and neglected infants, children and teens who have been rescued from unsafe homes. More than 100 locations will host donation bins to collect new jeans, new socks and new underwear in addition to monetary donations being accepted online PayPal at RenoRodeoFoundation.com and at any Northern Nevada Papa Murphy’s, Scolari’s Food & Drug Markets and Nevada State Banks.

Formed in 1986, the Reno Rodeo Foundation has been making a difference to children and families in northern Nevada for more than 25 years. Started as a private foundation with the sole purpose of distributing the proceeds from the annual Reno Rodeo through scholarships and community grants, the Reno Rodeo Foundation is now a 501(c)(3) public charity offering a much broader range of support to those in need in our community. The mission of the Reno Rodeo Foundation is to enhance and enrich the lives of Northern Nevada families by aiding children with extraordinary needs, building community partnerships, and providing scholarships to the University of Nevada, Reno.

The Reno Rodeo Foundation was incorporated in 1986 and is a 501(c)3 Nevada based non-profit. In addition to the annual Denim Drive that helps clothe neglected and abused foster children 365 days a year, the organization provides scholarships to eligible Nevada high school graduates, they support community grants, underwrites the Reno Rodeo Reading Roundup literacy program helping thousands of at-risk first graders, provides a Reno Rodeo Wish to a child, builds community partnerships and serves as the anchor for large capital projects to improve the lives of children.
