Reno Rodeo Wish Recipients Recognized
RENO, Nev. (June 19, 2018) – The Reno Rodeo Foundation awarded $26,500 to three local families as part of the organization’s Reno Rodeo Wish program, which supports the Foundation’s mission to assist young people in Northern Nevada with extraordinary needs. The families also received tickets and a VIP experience to the 2018 Reno Rodeo that included riding in a float in the Reno Rodeo Parade on Saturday, June 16, participating in the Reno Rodeo Kids Day on Sunday, June 17 and all three will be recognized during the Tuesday, June 19 performance. The Capurro Family Foundation and Garlock Printing & Converting also made generous financial contributions to the Reno Rodeo Wish funded program.
When: Tuesday, June 19, 2018 during the evening performance (just after team roping)
Where: Livestock Events Center, 1350 N Wells Ave.
Who: Reno Rodeo Association 2018 President, Bill Summy, Reno Rodeo Foundation President, Dr. Larry Frugoli and Reno Rodeo Foundation Executive Director, Clara Andriola, will present checks to three Reno Rodeo Wish recipients:
• $10,000 to Kalen (Tomino) Jim, nominated by St. Mary’s to help with therapy and mobility assistance;
• $10,000 to Rosaleigh and Hypatia Cottle, nominated by Renown Children’s Hospital, to purchase specialized car seats and strollers/wheelchairs to help the family get to and from appointments;
• $6,500 to William Strange, nominated by Carson Tahoe Hospital, for a family vacation.
