Saturday Crowd Filled the Stands to Salute the Military

Attendees Enjoyed Rodeo Action from Bullfights to Bull Rides

SALINAS, CA – July 18, 2015 – The third performance of the 105th California Rodeo Salinas took place under a sunny sky. Crowds were up, with ticket sales increasing by 915 tickets over the Saturday performance in 2014, an over 8% increase year to year. 12,063 people attended the Salute to Military & Wrangler National Patriot Day to watch a patriotic grand entry and action-packed Rodeo. Other highlights included the Special Buckaroos Rodeo presented by Tanimura & Antle, a thrilling bullfight at the end of the show with Nathan Harp winning the round. The McMillan Family Trick Riders dazzled spectators with their jaw-dropping tricks. Tomorrow is the Pendleton Whisky Day of Champions and final performance of the Rodeo; the show starts at 1:15pm and gates open at 10am. Tickets are available at the Salinas Sports Complex Box Office at 1034 N. Main Street or by phone at (831)772-6500. Prices are $7 for children, $14 for adult general admission and $20 for adult reserved seats. Don’t forget to wear purple to support the Man Up Crusade and spread awareness for domestic violence.
