Silva Wins Dayton, Ohio, BlueDEF Tour Event

Dayton, Ohio – Juliano Antonio da Silva captured the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) BlueDEF Tour (BDT) event victory Saturday night with a total score of 176.5 points during the PBR’s debut in Dayton at the Wright State University Nutter Center.

Silva went 2-for-2 after riding Pneu-Dart’s Drop Zone (Mike Miller Bucking Bulls) for 87 points in Round 1, and Sneakers (Curt Check Bucking Bulls) for 89.5 points in the championship round. With the win, Silva earned 80 points toward the world standings and an invitation to compete at the Choctaw Casino Iron Cowboy, powered by Kawasaki, on Feb. 27 in Arlington, Texas.

In second place was Zane Cook with a total score of 174.5 points, while Fraser Babbington (169 points), Emilio Resende (168 points), and Colt Galven (166 points) rounded out the Top 5.

Air Bender (Rockin S Ranch/Cornwell Bucking Bulls) earned the high-marked bull score of the night with a 3.22 second buck-off of Markus Mariluch in the championship round. Air Bender was marked 44.5 points.

Dayton was the 10th event of the 2016 BlueDEF Tour. The season will culminate with the 2016 BlueDEF Finals taking place Oct. 29-31 at South Point Arena in Las Vegas. The 2016 BlueDEF Champion will be the rider who earns the most world points throughout the 2016 BDT season, including the BlueDEF Finals. He will receive $50,000 and qualify to compete at the $2.3 million PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals.

The BlueDEF Tour, presented by Real Time Pain Relief, heads to Worcester, Massachusetts, next week. The event will take place at the DCU Center on Saturday, February 20 at 7 p.m. ET.
