Skirts & Spurs Raises Nearly $23,000 for JCCF

The third annual Skirts & Spurs Brunch and Style Show raised nearly $23,000 for the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund during the RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo in Kissimmee, Fla., on April 8. This new infusion of cash brings Skirts & Spurs total contribution to the JCCF up to a grand total of $85,000.

JCCF is a 501c3 charity that awards 100 percent of all contributions as direct assistance to cowboys injured in rodeo competition. JCCF covers everything from living expenses and non-medical costs while ProRodeo cowboys are unable to compete.

Guests at the fundraising event participated in live and silent auctions and raffles for more than 50 items from local donors, national sponsors and PRCA rodeo committees.

The brunch and style show featured celebrity models, including RNCFR barrel racers and state rodeo queens, as 2017 Miss Rodeo America Lisa Lageschaar emceed the event. Several PRCA cowboys assisted as well, including Heith DeMoss, R.C. Landingham, Ardie Maier, Andy Carter, Michael Riggs and Cody Kiser. DeMoss was also the drawing emcee.

Two of the fundraiser’s celebrity volunteers went on to win RNCFR titles – Landingham won the bareback riding and Emily Miller won the barrel racing.
