Stampede Talent Search Live Auditions Coming to Boyce Theatre

Calgary – The 2016 Stampede Talent Search live auditions will be held in the Boyce Theatre starting Friday, May 6 and running through the weekend. Young performers from across Canada ages 6 to 21 have a chance to sing, dance, play or perform their way to earn a spot in the 2016 Stampede Talent Search.

Performers are required to register online in advance and will be selected based on execution of their craft, stage presence, creativity and overall impression.

Junior performers, ages 6 to 12, will compete for development opportunities and a spot to perform during the Stampede Week competition. Senior performers, ages 13 to 21, will compete for a spot in the competition and the chance to win the $10,000 cash Grand Prize.

This year, there is over $15,000 in cash prizes available. The Grand Prize winner will receive a customized Performer Development Package, a one-of-a-kind belt buckle, and $10,000 cash.

WHEN: Friday, May 6, 2016, 4 pm to 7 pm (Video Audition Judging)
Saturday, May 7, 2016, 9 am to 5 pm
Sunday, May 8, 2016, 9 am to 5 pm

WHERE: Boyce Theatre, Calgary Stampede Park

Celebrating its 36th year, the Stampede Talent Search has a Canada-wide casting call for all young performers hoping to be discovered. Nightly performances during the Calgary Stampede, July 8 to 17, 2016, will be judged by industry professionals to determine a Grand Prize winner.
