What: Fort Worth’s most anticipated annual even starts Friday, January 13 when the legendary Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo hits town with 23-days of Western fun and excitement.
Ranching Heritage Weekend gets things going when some of the most prestigious ranches in the Southwest compete for the championship team title in the Best of the West Ranch Rodeo. Besides the various competitions, auctions and other events, music from the Coors Light Roadhouse will be pulsating with the sounds of The Jason Roberts Band, Dale Watson, and Banda Santa Cruz. The Jr. Agricultural Mechanics Project Show will display the mechanical skills of Texas 4-H and FFA youth and Fort Worth’s ties to her Hispanic heritage will be on display on Sunday when the Best of Mexico Celebraciõn caps off the fun-filled weekend.
Make parking a snap by taking the Stock Show’s Rodeo Redline express shuttle service from the north parking lot of Billy Bob’s Texas directly to the front gate of the Stock Show grounds. The Rodeo Redline will run from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday. Buses depart every 20 minutes. Cost is $5 per vehicle, half the cost of normal Stock Show parking.
