Support the Reno Rodeo Denim Drive at Famous Dave’s

RENO, Nev. (November 15, 2016) – Join Famous Dave’s and the Reno Rodeo Foundation for a “Dine and Donate” event on Wednesday, Nov. 16, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. where 15 percent of every check will be donated to the 2016 Reno Rodeo Denim Drive. Kids can also try their hand at steer roping with Reno Rodeo volunteers from 4-7 p.m.

WHEN: Wednesday, Nov. 16, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Kids dummy steer roping from 4-7 p.m.

WHERE: Famous Dave’s, 4925 Kietzke Lane, Reno, NV 89509

WHO: Reno Rodeo Association members and Famous Dave’s staff members will be on hand throughout the day accepting donations. Around 4 p.m., staff members will transform one section of dining area into a makeshift rodeo arena where Reno Rodeo volunteers will teach children how to rope on one of the Reno Rodeo’s dummy steers.

WHY: The 2016 Reno Rodeo Denim Drive is officially underway and continues through Dec. 31, collecting new and slightly used clothing as well as monetary donations across 14 Northern Nevada counties for abused and neglected infants, children and teens who have been rescued from unsafe homes. More than 100 locations will host donation bins to collect new jeans, new socks and new underwear in addition to monetary donations being accepted online via PayPal at RenoRodeoFoundation.org and at any Northern Nevada Papa Murphy’s, Scolari’s Food & Drug Markets and Nevada State Banks.

Formed in 1986, the Reno Rodeo Foundation has been making a difference to children and families in Northern Nevada for more than 25 years. Started as a private foundation with the sole purpose of distributing the proceeds from the annual Reno Rodeo through scholarships and community grants, the Reno Rodeo Foundation is now a 501(c)(3) public charity offering a much broader range of support to those in need in our community. The mission of the Reno Rodeo Foundation is to enhance and enrich the lives of Northern Nevada families by aiding children with extraordinary needs, building community partnerships, and providing scholarships to the University of Nevada, Reno.

The Reno Rodeo Foundation was incorporated in 1986 and is a 501(c)3 Nevada based non-profit.
