The 108th California Rodeo Salinas has Started
Thursday Performance drew a big crowd
SALINAS, CA, July 19, 2018 – Wrangler Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night drew over 9,800 people to the Salinas Sports Complex for the first performance of the 108th California Rodeo Salinas, up 40 tickets over 2017.
Thursday night, presented by Rabobank, was full of fans in their pink shirts and cowboys hats cheering on the cowboys and cowgirls and helping their community at the same time. $1 from each ticket sold tonight will be donated to the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System.
Highlights included Valerie Costanza of Hollister earning the title of Miss California Rodeo Salinas 2018. The arena action was hot with Ryder Wright scoring an 86.5 in the Saddle Bronc Riding. Bobby Kerr and his mustangs also performed on our track, showcasing the relationship between a horseman and his horse. Full event results can be found here.
