The 2017 Road to Cheyenne CBR Tour Set to Air Every Wednesday on FS2

Hopefully your DVR is rested and ready for the sizzling summer bull riding line up because CBR and Fox Sports are ready to drop on you the Real Cowboy Sport. The all new Championship Bull Riding (CBR) 2017 season on FOX Sports Networks (FSN) will premiere on Wednesday, June 7 at 9 pm (EST) on FS2.

Built by a brand capable of reaching more than 100 million homes, FS2 focuses on the thrill seeking sports. With an abundance of knockout programming, FOX Sports keeps the action and excitement flowing on FS2 and is the perfect home for Championship Bull Riding which will begin airing the sixty minute Road to Cheyenne series next week and continue for 13 consecutive weeks in the same time slot.

Every Wednesday see the adrenaline packed stories unfold thru the eyes of the legendary Chute Boss, four time world Champion bull rider and pro rodeo Hall of Famer Tuff Hedeman and chute reporter Ali Dee who catches the heat of the moment with the cowboy’s reactions just moments after they leave the competitive arena.

The 2017 Road to Cheyenne television sixty minute format features former professional bull riders Mike White and Cody Whitney as color commentators joining rodeo royalty, Jeff Medders, from the broadcast booth.

“CBR is extremely excited to be returning to Fox Sports great programming line-up in 2017. The strength of FS2 will allow CBR to reach a much larger audience than ever before and showcase our world-class athletes and animals to fans who truly love and are dedicated to the sport on a weekly basis,” said CBR CEO Billy Jaynes.

This year’s edge of your seat action tells the narrative of five time World Champion bull rider Sage Kimzey battling rookies and veterans to break CBR records and win an unprecedented third CBR World Championship, a title he will defend in Cheyenne. The CBR on FSN will feature the highlights from the 13 events on the CBR’s premier Road to Cheyenne Tour beginning with the first event in Laughlin, Nevada and culminating with the World Championships at Cheyenne Frontier Days from Cheyenne, Wyoming, which will air in August.

You won’t want to miss one minute of the exclusive action as the undisputed number one bull rider in the world will be challenged by gladiator veterans such as Eli Vastbinder of Statesville, North Carolina, who has been in the top five since winning a tour stop early in the season. If that is not exciting enough you will want to root for the red hot rookie – high school student, Boudreaux Campbell from Crockett, Texas who debuted on this year’s tour and is on pace to challenge Vastbinder and Kimzey for the championship title.

But cowboys aren’t the only athletes competing at the CBR, the fan favorites also include the opponents from the “other side of the ride” who are bucking weekly for a total purse of $45,000 on each tour stop.

These in high demand bucking bulls win as much money as the cowboys and all eyes will be on this bucking bull competition as the prize in Cheyenne for the winning bull team is a $100,000 check and the title of 2017 CBR World Champion Bull Team.

“CBR is extremely excited to be broadcast on Fox Sports Net’s programming lineup in 2017”, stated Josh Oakley, Executive Director, Acquisitions and Programming Director of Acquisitions for FSN, “Bull riding has a very passionate fan base that has helped solidify FSN as the home of the CBR. We look forward to continuing to build on that audience over the coming years”.

Chairman of the Board, Benny Cude, also commented, “We are very pleased with the continued partnership between CBR and Fox Sports. We are in our sixth season with Fox and our fan base continues to grow and the passion they feel for the sport of bull riding is evident in the numbers. We look forward to continuing to provide great programming to CBR fans nationwide.”

With one of the fastest growing spectator sports tours in America, the Road to Cheyenne is a twelve month multi-city professional level bull riding tour which runs July to July culminating with the CBR World Finals in Cheyenne, Wyoming, during Cheyenne Frontier Days. Championship Bull Riding is headquartered in Weatherford, Texas and has over 300 athletes competing in CBR sanctioned competitions.

The 2017 season will begin Wednesday, June 7. Check your local listings for time and availability in your area.
