The PBR Hits the Hollywood Walk of Fame

PUEBLO, Colo. – This evening, Monday, April 6, the Professional Bull Riders are closing down the world-famous Hollywood Boulevard to bring the “toughest sport on dirt” to Hollywood for the official premiere of 20thCentury Fox’s “The Longest Ride.”

With 20 bulls, bull riders, miles of arena panels and nearly half a million pounds of dirt, the PBR will turn Hollywood Boulevard into a bull riding arena, where it will buck bulls “PBR style” as the backdrop to the red carpet arrivals of the film adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ best-selling novel “The Longest Ride.”

“The Longest Ride” centers on the star-crossed love affair between Luke, a former champion PBR bull rider looking to make a comeback, and Sophia, a college student who is about to embark upon her dream job in New York City’s art world. The story  weaves in and out of the PBR’s elite Built Ford Tough Series and BlueDEF Velocity Tour circuits. The PBR worked with Fox to produce all of the bull riding scenes in the movie, and turn leading actor Scott Eastwood (Luke), into a bull rider. The world’s premiere bull riding organization will be on full display, bringing “The Longest Ride” to life right before Southern California fans’ eyes.

“The Longest Ride” also stars Britt Robertson, Scott Eastwood, Jack Huston, Oona Chaplin, and Alan Alda. 20th Century Fox releases the film in theaters everywhere April 10th.

The bull riding action begins at 6 p.m. on Hollywood Boulevard in front of TCL Chinese Theatre and is open to the general public. PBR stars and world champions Bonner Bolton, Cody Custer, Douglas Duncan, Josh Faircloth, Michael Gaffney, Kasey Hayes, Mike Lee, Cord McCoy, Tater Porter, Billy Robinson and Jerome Davis will walk the red carpet alongside movie stars Scott Eastwood, Britt Robertson, Alan Alda, Oona Chaplin and Lolita Davidovich, director George Tillman Jr. and Nicholas Sparks.

All of the excitement will be brought to fans worldwide via PBRLIVE at 9 p.m. ET located at www.pbr.com/live. PBR announcer Brandon Bates and KIIS FM’s Manny on the Streets of the “On-Air with Ryan Seacrest Morning Show” will interview stars and bring fans an up-close, behind-the-scenes look at one of the rarest spectacles to hit the streets of Hollywood.

“We’ve bucked bulls in the sands of Huntington Beach, at the entrance to Penn Station and in Times Square, but Hollywood Boulevard may be the most iconic location of them all,” PBR COO Sean Gleason said. “Hollywood has such a rich history and is still recognized worldwide as the center of the entertainment universe.  The PBR is honored to showcase our great sport where so many celebrated legends have gone before.  This movie premiere will not soon be forgotten.”
