Each man will ride one additional bull in the championship round. The rider who emerges from the weekend with the most PBR world standings points will be the Cooper Tires Take the Money and Ride event winner, pocketing more than $30,000.
Tucson is the 26th stop of the 2016 PBR Built Ford Tough Series. The following Saturday, Oct. 29, PBR Finals Week begins in Las Vegas with the BlueDEF Finals, the championship event for the PBR’s expansion tour, the BlueDEF Tour. It will determine the last five competitors to round out the Top 40 men who will compete in the PBR World Finals, Nov. 2-6 at T-Mobile Arena. The opportunity to win a part of the total $2.3 million purse awaits those 40 men who qualify; and a $1 million bonus and $10,000 belt buckle will be waiting for the one who becomes the PBR World Champion.
The BFTS is televised every week on CBS, CBS Sports Network – the home of the PBR – and networks around the world. This season the PBR on CBS has seen a 20 percent increase in viewership over the same events in 2015, according to Nielsen. BFTS telecasts are produced for the PBR under a multi-year agreement with David Neal Productions, a Los Angeles-based production company led by 34-time Emmy® Award winner and Peabody Award winner David Neal, who serves as executive producer.
