Whitehorse Wins Round 1 in Bangor

BANGOR, Maine. – Keyshawn Whitehorse (The Woodlands, Texas) won the first round of the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour (RVT) event at the Cross Insurance Center Friday night.

Whitehorse rode Uptown Funk (J Bar W Ranch) for 85.5 points in Round 1, earning $800.

Alex Cardozo, Ramon Rodrigues and Brennon Eldred all tied for second place with matching 84.5-point scores.

Cardozo rode After Party (Triple R. Bull Co.) while Rodrigues covered Blue Duck (Buckin’ B Cattle Company).  Eldred earned his score when he reached 8 seconds aboard Tucker (Cornwell Bucking Bulls).

Alex Marcilio rounded out the Top 5 after riding One Horned Hooker (Buckin’ B Cattle Company) for 84 points.

At the conclusion of Round 1, Whitehorse and Cardozo faced off in a Buck Off Challenge.  Whitehorse earned the honor by wining Round 1, while Cardozo earned his spot courtesy of world points.  Jacked Up (J Bar W Ranch) defeated Cardozo, while Jake Brake (J Bar W Ranch) bucked off Whitehorse.

Round 2 and the championship round will take place on Sunday afternoon beginning at 2 p.m. ET. All 40 riders will get on one more bull before the Top 10 advance to the championship round where the winner will be crowned.

The 2017 Velocity Tour will culminate with the Velocity Tour Finals at South Point Arena in Las Vegas on Oct. 28-30, leading into the PBR’s 2017 Built Ford Tough World Finals.
