ARCHDALE, N.C. – Sean Willingham (Summerville, GA) sits in first place after night one of the 19th annual TNT Carports Jerome Davis PBR Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour (RVT) event Friday night.

Devon Weaver (Harrisburg, Pennsylvania), Alex Marcilio (Macaubal, Brazil)and Taylor Toves (Stephenville, Texas) are also in the mix for a potential Velocity Tour victory this weekend following qualified rides on Friday night.

Willingham is currently in the lead after an 86.5-point ride on Dip Stick (Davis Rodeo Ranch & BSN). A win this weekend would give the 36-year-old his first win of the season.

Weaver is sitting in second place after covering Stealth Mode (Dustin Denning) for 86 points. The 25-year-old is also looking to capture his first win of the season this weekend.

An 85-point ride on Bad Apple (Davis Rodeo Ranch & Luna & Ray) earned Marcilio a third-place finish on Friday night. The Brazilian currently sits at No. 48 in the world standings and looks to move up in the rankings as the race to the PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals continues.

Toves is currently in fourth place after earning 78 points on BaLou (Davis Rodeo Ranch & BSN). A victory in Archdale would give Toves his second win of the season after a victory at the Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour event in Fresno, California, back in March.

Night 2 of the event begins Saturday night at 8 p.m. ET.

The 2017 Velocity Tour will culminate with the Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour Finals at South Point Arena in Las Vegas on Oct. 28-30, leading into the PBR’s Built Ford Tough World Finals, Nov. 1-5 at T-Mobile Arena.
