SAN JOSE, CA – Amid its tightest championship race ever, the PBR’s (Professional Bull Riders) premier series will buck into San Jose’s SAP Center, for Cooper Tire’s Take the Money and Ride presented by Wrangler on Saturday and Sunday, Oct 21-22.

Led by No. 1 Eduardo Aparecido, with hard-charging Cooper Davis only 236 points behind, the Top 5 riders in the world rankings are separated by fewer than 560 points heading into the final regular-season stop on the 2017 tour before the PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena (Nov. 1-5). The close title race makes the 700 points on the line in San Jose crucial in the 2017 World Championship battle. Tensions are high and so are the stakes.

Reigning World Champion Davis returns to San Jose eyeing back-to-back wins after coming out as top cowboy in 2016 at SAP Center. The two-day event will feature intense competition among the world’s most talented bull riders, including 2015 Rookie of the Year Kaique Pacheco (No. 3 in the world standings), No. 4 Derek Kolbaba, 2016 PBR Rookie of the Year Jess Lockwood (No. 5), as well as three-time World Champion Silvano Alves (2011-12, 2014), 2008 World Champion Guilherme Marchi, and many more alongside special invitee and No. 1 rider of the PBR Mexico Tour, Francisco Morales.

Cooper Tire’s Take the Money and Ride, presented by Wrangler will begin at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday, October 21 and at 1:45 p.m. on Sunday, October 22. Tickets start at $15 can be purchased at the SAP Center box office, PBR.com, and PBR Direct at (800) 732-1727.

For an enhanced PBR experience, fans can purchase PBR Elite Seats, which provide a behind-the-scenes look into the toughest sport on dirt. This experience includes early entry; tickets to a premium seating section; a 60-minute backstage tour with a PBR Host, featuring a PBR 101 presentation and visit with the sport’s fiercest bulls; and the opportunity for photos and autographs from the top PBR stars. After the event, PBR Elite Seat ticketholders will be given premium dirt access, a complimentary 8 Seconds PBR program, Elite Seat lanyard and other memorabilia autographed by the world’s Top 35 bull riders. The PBR Elite Seats can only be purchased by contacting the PBR Customer Service Department at 800-732-1727.
