Wrangler ProRodeo Tour Passes $1 Million in Earnings

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Through just four Wrangler ProRodeo Tour rodeos, more than $1 million already has been paid out, with plenty more Wrangler Tour rodeos and cash on the horizon.

The new Wrangler ProRodeo Tour began with the Clark County Fair & Rodeo in Logandale, Nev., April 11-15.

In addition to Logandale, the Red Bluff (Calif.) Round-Up, Rodeo Corpus Christi (Texas) and the Clovis (Calif.) Rodeo have taken place, with the four Tour rodeos paying out a combined $1,075,885 in prize money to PRCA competitors.

The Tour features 22 rodeos before concluding with the Finale presented by Justin Boots, Sept. 6-9, in Puyallup, Wash.

The media coverage of the Wrangler ProRodeo Tour will be divided between ProRodeoTV.com and the Wrangler Network. (Below are highlights from Logandale, Nev.)

The next Wrangler Tour rodeo will be the Reno (Nev.) Rodeo (June 15-23) and will be livestreamed by the Wrangler Network. A year ago, Reno had a committee purse of $300,000. Following Reno on the Wrangler Tour is the Ponoka Stampede (June 26-July 2), which will be livestreamed on the Wrangler Network.

“We’re rolling into the same program we have had before, and this is still the largest rodeo in Canada, $50,000 up an event,” Ponoka Stampede President Blair Vold said. “We also are on the Wrangler ProRodeo Tour, and we are the only Canadian rodeo on the new Wrangler Tour. We are very fortunate to be a part of the Tour. Wrangler has been a great sponsor here in Canada for us, and with this Tour you get to see the best of North American talent and around-the-world talent here at our rodeo, which is good for the Ponoka Stampede and our fans.”

In 2017, the Ponoka Stampede had a committee purse of $300,000.

ProRodeoTV.com will livestream the “World’s Oldest Rodeo” in Prescott, Ariz. The rodeo is scheduled for June 28 through July 4. To subscribe to ProRodeoTV.com, go to http://www.prorodeo.com/prorodeotv-subscribe.

Prescott had a committee purse of $109,000 last year.
