Bobby Welsh Rides Hot Potato for Victory at Elizabeth Stampede

Gillette, Wyoming bull rider Bobby Welsh spent most of the winter and spring at home carting kids to rodeos. Welsh and his wife Sunny have four children and the 31-year-old veteran of seven straight NFR appearances says he will go back on the road in June and July to try and make one more trip to Vegas. Welsh got off to a good start at the Elizabeth Stampede in Colorado winning more than $1,400 in his first-place ride for a score of 84 points over the weekend. Bobby drew a bull called “Hot Potato” and said afterward he’s wanted to get on that one for a year.
