Fun Facts about Sage: What a couple of years it has been for Sage. Last year he was winning early in the season, then had to have surgery on his shoulder and missed the rest of the season. That shoulder injury started in high school, and he had put off getting it fixed. He came back strong in 2023 and did well in the buildings. He was having a solid summer as well and looking forward to a strong finish. Instead, he dislocated his shoulder at Cheyenne Frontier Days the last week of July in Wyoming. More surgery and he watched as his name dropped in the standings. He’ll enter his eighth Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in tenth place. This time will be different for Sage as it is the first time that he is competing at the NFR as a dad. He and his wife, Alexis, had a bouncing baby boy, Steele Randall, who will be two in March. Sage was able to compete again the last weekend of the season. He entered the Comal County Fair & Rodeo in New Braunfels, Texas and won it, adding $2,002 to his earnings.
