Fun Facts about Clint: This year’s Wrangler National Finals Rodeo qualification came at the 11th hour. The last week of the season he was 19th in the world standings. Roping with Jake Long, he had qualified for the Governor’s Cup Rodeo in Sioux Falls. He and Jake didn’t get a check in the preliminary rounds, but when push came to shove finished second in the finals. The $19,000 that he won moved him all the way to 13th. He bought the steer they won that on, brought him home, and turned him out to pasture. His main mount this year has been Mr. Joes Shadow Bar “Joe,” that was recently named the AQHA Horse of the Year in the heading. Clint’s first NFR qualification came in the heeling. Three years ago, he sold all his heel horses and concentrated on heading. This is his second qualification since he switched ends. He and his wife Brittany started off 2023 by welcoming a baby boy, Claxton, into the family. That has disrupted their sleeping patterns as they have been traveling as a family, but they wouldn’t have it any other way.
