Fun Facts about Jessica: Going to rodeos in North and South Dakota has been important to Jessica since she joined the WPRA 13 years ago. She has qualified for the Badlands Circuit Finals 11 of those years. This year, that Badlands title was more important than ever. It qualified her for the NFR Open at the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo in Colorado Springs which she won. The $24,553 gave her some breathing room for a sixth Wrangler National Finals Rodeo qualifications. Next up, she headed to Gillette, Wyoming, to watch her son Braden compete at the National High School Finals Rodeo. She missed going to the junior high finals where her daughter Braden was competing. Husband, Riley, took Braden to Georgia and had Jessica on speed dial. The couple stays very busy with pro rodeos, youth rodeos, a ranch that runs 800 head of cattle and managing their schedules along with those of their five children. The younger three girls are often on the road with Jessica, but as they get older and have more activities of their own, that will likely change. Jessica has made all six of her trips to Las Vegas aboard Fiery Miss West, “Missy,” owned by Gary Westergren. Jessica is less than $20,000 away from $1 million in career earnings and is very likely to cross that milestone in Las Vegas.
