Fun Facts about Jimmie: With parents that both competed in rodeos, Jimmie Smith has been around them all of her life. She qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo three times in all three women’s events, goat tying, breakaway roping and barrel racing. She was focusing on her roping until Lena On the Rocks “Lena” came into her life. In 2019, they finished just out of the top 15 when Lena sustained an injury. Jimmie graduated with her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and then got her masters from their campus at Commerce, Texas. She earned the Jerry Ann Taylor Best Dressed Award at the Fort Worth rodeo in February and will be competing for the second installment of that honor at the WNFR.
