Miss Rodeo America: September Update

A Photo Journey with… Jordan Tierney Miss Rodeo America 2020

  • There can be no doubt who is behind these masks. Myself and Lily Redden-Miss Cattlemens Days 2020 Rodeo Queen prepare for the Cattlemens Days Rodeo in Gunnison, CO.
  • Often times people ask me what I love most about my title and it’s the people I get to work with! Shae Heitsch-2015 South Dakota High School Rodeo Queen makes a great flag boss!
  • It might’ve been the dog days of summer, but the weather during the Ram National Circuit Finals in Greeley, CO had me feeling like it was fall! Thankfully I have the best STS ranchwear jacket to keep me warm! It was so great to see this event take place, so a big thank you to the Greeley Stampede and PRCA for making that happen!
  • At the Gold Buckle Beer ProRodeo Tour Finale in Rapid City, SD I was gifted with this beautiful painting of me on an actual feather by the Don Barnett family! Representing the Barnett family is Kris Bennett Mattson. It is so special receiving very thoughtful gifts such as this and I will cherish it forever!
  • Thank you to the Washburn family for taking Miss Rodeo Colorado 2020- Hailey Frederiksen and me out on your ranch to experience what ranching is like at 9,000 ft. elevation!
  • The first rodeo I went to in 2020 was the National Western Stock Show in Denver, CO where I worked with Josh Hilton, Boyd Polhamus and Lisa Bailey. After a very interesting rodeo season everyone has had this year, it was an honor to work with them again at the Gold Buckle Beer Tour Finale in Rapid City, SD! I look forward seeing them in 2021!
  • I was a 4-H member of the Horsehead Ranchers in South Dakota from the ages of 5 to 18! Some of my greatest memories were working the concessions stand at the Last Chance Roundup in Oelrichs, SD. It was so great to see the kids of the next generation hard at work!
  • Gunnison, Colorado is home to some of the greatest views I have ever seen! Miss Rodeo Colorado 2020-Hailey Frederiksen, Miss Cattlemens Days Rodeo Queen 2020-Lily Redden and myself with awesome mountains and clouds in the background!
  • After my appearance at the Last Chance Roundup in Oelrichs, SD I got to turn a steer for my dad Paul Tierney in the Mixed Team roping. We squeezed in last hole, but what really mattered is that I beat my sister!
  • There’s just something about presenting Old Glory at the Last Chance Roundup in Oelrichs, SD with the smell of BBQ in the air at an afternoon rodeo performance that will never get old to me.
  • During a weekend off, my former boss Brad Fischer, who served in the United States Military as a Marine took me to shoot rifles. Taking the time to learn gun safety and the mechanics of these tools is incredibly important to me. I love learning new skills and expanding my horizons!
