SARA MARCUS
MISS RODEO OREGON
BEAVER STATE

Sara Marcus (Oregon)

From Sisters, Oregon, Sara Marcus is a graduate of Central Oregon Community College with an Associate’s of Art Degree in Criminal Justice. She hopes to transfer to the University of Oregon and obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Her goal is to become a local police officer before applying to the Behavioral Science Unit in the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Sara enjoys rodeo, trail riding, exercise, snowboarding, volleyball, football, singing, dancing and reading. She is a volunteer with the Sisters Rodeo Association, the Sisters Chamber of Commerce, and her Community College Justice Club. She has visited numerous schools, hospitals and clubs to speak about the western heritage and America’s number one sport.

“There is nothing more exciting or rewarding than being involved in the great sport of rodeo, both as a competitor and a representative, sharing my passion with current and future rodeo fans. Being Miss Rodeo America is more than horsemanship, rodeo knowledge, personality, or appearance. I believe that being a part of the “rodeo family” is about helping strangers and making friends along the way. It is also a commitment to serve, to possess a caring heart, and to represent America’s number one sport to the best of my ability. Miss Rodeo America would give me the opportunities to demonstrate my patriotism for our country, respect for our western heritage, my family values, my passion for service, and my love of rodeo. I would be honored to represent my home state, and the land that I love as the 2015 Miss Rodeo America.”
