By: Andrew Hatfield

As PBR’s Unleash The Beast bucks into Dickies Arena May 19-21 during the final event of the 2023 Unleash The Beast campaign, PBR.com is highlighting some of the series’ latest winners, top competitors and beyond as the premier series wraps up down south in Friday night’s Round 5 action!

ROOKIES ROLL IN ROUND 4: Rookies Joao Lucas Campos and Wingson Henrique da Silva both posted 89.5 points to tie for the Round 4 win. After being drafted by the Missouri Thunder with the third overall pick the day previously, Campos was paired with Moonlight Party, recording his second ride at the PBR World Finals and rising from No. 60 to No. 47 in the Unleash The Beast standings. Silva, who has been one of the most consistent rookie performers all season, lasted the 8 on Flyin Wired for his second consecutive ride, jumping fellow rookie Tate Pollmeier and moving from No. 15 to No. 13 in the Unleash The Beast standings. He also closed the gap on Rafael Jose de Brito in the Rookie of the Year race, as he now sits in third, just 212.5 points behind his fellow Brazilian. Silva now sits in second at the event as well, just .25 points behind leader Ramon de Lima, while Campos sits in fourth, 1.25 points behind Lima. In Round 5, Campos shares a chute with Renegade, while Silva tangoes with Tijuana Two-Step

PETRI RETURNS TO TOP 10: Ending a 12-out buckoff streak, Texan Jesse Petri was finally able to make the whistle on Mr. Right Now for 88.75 points and finish third in Round 4. Despite his recent struggles, Petri has been consistently ranked in the Top 15 all season, and he was able to compete in all 23 regular-season events, highlighted by a second-place finish in Manchester, New Hampshire, and winning his second career event in New Orleans. His third-place finish in Round 4 netted him 44 points in the Unleash The Beast standings and pushed him from the No. 12 to No. 10 spot, 533 points behind No. 1 Kaique Pacheco, who is sidelined due to injury. His 88.75 points were also enough to slide him into 12th in the event standings. In Round 5, Petri is set to face Riser

RIDIN SOLO BACK ON TOP: In a night dominated by the animal athletes, Ridin’ Solo still managed to stick out, as the 2022 YETI World Champion Bull bucked off Chase Outlaw in 3.54 seconds for a monstrous 46.5-point bull score, moving him back on top of this year’s bull race with an impressive 45.7-point World Average. The 46.5-point effort was also the highest bull score at the PBR World Finals this year and his second score of 46 or more
