Artist of the Decade and 3 Time BMI Country Songwriter/Artist of the Year Toby Keith to Headline California Rodeo’s 2020 Kick off Concert

SALINAS, CA – Superstar Toby Keith will headline the 2020 California Rodeo Salinas Big Week Kick Off Concert on Friday, July 10, 2020. Keith is a multi-talented singer, songwriter, and musician among other things. In 2018 he celebrated the 25th anniversary of his debut No. 1 single, “Should’ve Been a Cowboy.” He has sold more than 40 million albums that included favorite songs “Red Solo Cup,” “How Do You Like Me Now,” “Beer For My Horses” and “I Wanna Talk About Me” to name a few. His tours have drawn more than a million fans for a decade straight. Some of his awards include Songwriter/Artist of the Decade, three-time BMI Country Songwriter/Artist of the Year, ACM’s Career Achievement honor, Poet’s Award recipient and back-to-back Entertainer of the Year awards. Joining Toby as special guest is country hitmaker Clay Walker, famous for #1 songs like “What’s It to You” and “Live Until I Die,” at 8pm. Gates will open at 5pm and emerging country artist Claudia Hoyser will kick off the show at 7pm.
The concert is produced by the California Rodeo Salinas and David Drew Productions and presented by Taylor Farms with support from media partners KSBW TV 8 and ABC Central Coast and KTOM 92.7 FM. This event is the official kick off to the 110th anniversary of the California Rodeo Salinas which takes place July 16-19, 2020. Concert tickets go on sale Friday, January 17th at 10am. Ticket prices will start at $30* for reserved grandstand seats, $70* for Standing Floor tickets and $85* for Reserved Floor Seats and Box Seats. The Salinas Sports Complex ticket office will be open for walk up and phone orders Friday, January 17th 10am to 6pm and Saturday, January 18th 10am to 6pm. The phone number is 800-549-4989. There will be a Military tribute during the show, with more details coming later, and a limited number of discounted tickets will be for sale to our Armed Forces; these tickets must be purchased in person at the ticket windows on January 17th or 18th or when the box office opens full-time in March and valid Military or Veteran identification is required (with a limit of four tickets per ID).
