Behind The Chaps: Miss Rodeo Idaho

As Miss Rodeo Idaho, I have many generous sponsors, one of those being Idaho Ford Stores. Idaho Ford Stores not only helps me get down the road with the use of a top-of-the-line F-250 Power Stroke, but they also sponsored my saddle and give to the Miss Rodeo Idaho scholarship program as well. With the design of these chaps, I wanted to represent my sponsor, and my state, and demonstrate my patriotism. The hand-painted leather at the bottom of the chaps replicates the well-known Idaho license plate and shows the iconic Ford logo. I chose the Idaho license plate because it represents where I come from, and also has patriotic colors. I also wanted to add a piece of my family and heritage by adding both of my family brands on the yolks of the chaps. My family history is very important to me, and I try to showcase that as often as possible. I love everything about these chaps and would like to thank family friend, western artist Chad Poppleton, and custom leather artist Del Leavitt of 75 Custom Leather for helping make my vision for these chaps a reality.
