Celebrating Youth in Agriculture – 4-H on Parade, Presented by Brandt, Returns to Stampede Park

Calgary – Western Canada’s largest 4-H event, 4-H on Parade, presented by Brandt, is back at Stampede Park after a two-year hiatus. Nearly 400 members from 28 Calgary-region clubs will be moving their animals into the Nutrien Western Event Centre and Agriculture Barn and competing from Friday, May 27, through the weekend. The event will culminate in a live and online auction of sheep and steer projects on Sunday, May 29.

For more than 40 years, this popular Stampede event has showcased the hard work of 4-H members and celebrated youth engagement in agriculture and their passion for learning new skills. Members have the opportunity to highlight their work with sheep, cattle, horses and dogs. Approximately 80 members will also participate in life skills categories such as welding, small engines, clothing and textiles, photography and archery.

As part of an online and in-person auction set for Sunday, May 29, at 10 a.m., 79 market lambs and 69 market steers will be sold by auction. Additionally, there will be a charity lamb put up for auction, with proceeds going to support Cerebral Palsy Kids and Families.
