Country Music Superstar Paul Brandt to Headline 2021 Bell Grandstand Show

Calgary – Canadian country music legend and Calgary’s own Paul Brandt will take the Stampede stage in 2021 as the headliner for the Bell Grandstand Show. Over the 10 nights of the Calgary Stampede, the show will feature the powerful musical and artistic performances of Brandt, the Stampede’s Young Canadians and many more, topped off with a spectacular fireworks finale.

“The Stampede holds a special place in my heart, having strong roots here. I was proud to headline the Grandstand Show during the Stampede’s Centennial year – a year of transition as we moved forward into a new century,” says Brandt. “I’m thrilled to headline for a second time as we transition from 2020 to 2021 with optimism and hope – after a year off, the Bell Grandstand Show will be bigger and better than ever.”

In 2021, Brandt will not only work closely with the youth performers of the Stampede’s Young Canadians, but will participate as part of the creative team to develop a show that celebrates the spirit and vibrancy of the community. Brandt and the Young Canadians will entertain and engage expected audiences of nearly 20 thousand each night as part of a tradition that has been woven into the fabric of Stampede for more than 50 years.

“The Bell Grandstand Show is part of who we are, it IS Stampede,” says Rod Tate, Director of Programming for the Calgary Stampede. “Having Paul Brandt headline the show just feels natural. We’re welcoming a member of the Stampede family.”

“The Calgary Stampede is known for bringing world-class entertainment, but also the unique spirit of the city that makes Stampede time so special,” shares Brandt. ”It’s a feeling that needs to be experienced in person.”

Tickets for the Bell Grandstand Show go on sale this fall.
