Division 1 Xtreme Bulls 2020 Tour Begins Tuesday in Fort Worth

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Winning a PRCA bull riding world championship takes plenty of hard work and talent.

No one in the PRCA has been better at bull riding the last six years than Sage Kimzey.

The Strong City, Okla., cowboy has reached the PRCA pinnacle six years in a row.

Part of Kimzey’s world championship formula has been tied into the PRCA’s Division 1 Xtreme Bulls Tour. Kimzey has won the Xtreme Bulls Tour title three years in a row.

Kimzey finished atop the 2019 Xtreme Bulls Tour standings with $88,328. It was his fourth X Bulls title in five years.

“The X Bulls are really important to the world standings, NFR, everything,” Kimzey said. “They are premier events, so to speak, besides the major rodeos. To have some success at the Xtreme Bulls helps everything, not only the bank account, but also the standings.”

Kimzey has eight X Bulls Division 1 victories, tied with Matt Austin for the most Division 1 career wins.

Kimzey and fellow bull riders will be competing at the season-opening Division 1 Xtreme Bulls event Jan. 21-22 in Fort Worth, Texas, at the new Dickies Arena.

The Cowboy Channel will air the SWELS – Xtreme Bulls live from Fort Worth both nights at 8:30 (ET). The Cowboy Channel also will provide look-ins from rodeos around the country on “ProRodeo Tonight.” Check TheCowboyChannel.com for the latest schedule.

Boudreaux Campbell, who finished second in the 2019 PRCA | RAM World Standings, is anxious to get his first career Division 1 Xtreme Bulls win in Fort Worth.

“The X Bulls event in Fort Worth is awesome, and the X Bulls Tour is awesome,” Campbell said. “They are bull riding events that pay a lot of money. If you can make those count, it helps a lot. I definitely want to get my first (Division 1) Xtreme Bulls win and I can’t wait to compete at the new Dickies Arena.”

Campbell said his mindset stays the same no matter where he climbs on a bull.

“The goal is still the same,” he said. “I want to ride every bull I get on. Yeah, you might be a little more fired up at an Xtreme Bulls (event), but it doesn’t make a difference. I’m still there to ride my bull.”
