For the Record: Horse Heaven Round-Up, Kennewick

The record book at the Horse Heaven Round-Up in Kennewick, Wash., dates to 1954. The rodeo is more important than ever this season, since it is the 21st stop on the Wrangler ProRodeo Tour.

The Wrangler Tour consists of 22 of the PRCA’s biggest rodeos and culminates with the Justin Finale in Puyallup, Wash., Sept. 6-9. The top 24 competitors in each event in the Tour standings will earn a spot at the Justin Finale, as cowboys make a final push toward the all-important Top 15 in the world standings.

One record that has been standing since 2003 in Kennewick is the $5,935 Trevor Brazile earned for the all-around title.

The Horse Heaven Round-Up begins Aug. 21 and concludes Aug. 25. Here is a list of the other rodeo records in Kennewick.
