J.T. Moore Sweeps Event to Win PBR Stockyards Showcase at Cowtown Coliseum

FORT WORTH, Texas – As the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Stockyards Showcase continued Thursday night, J.T. Moore (Alvin, Texas) rode supreme, sweeping the competition inside Cowtown Coliseum to win the Touring Pro vision event via a flawless 2-for-2 event.

Moore was electric in the opening round of the PBR Stockyards Showcase, surging to an early event lead when he conquered Choctaw Bingo (Carr Pro Rodeo) for 86.5 points.

As the last man to leave the chutes in the championship round, the home state hopeful next readied to attempt Red Dragon (Stockyards Pro Rodeo). Remaining in perfect time with the powerful animal athlete, Moore reached the requisite 8 for an event-best 88.5 points to clinch the event victory.

The golden finish earned Moore a crucial 62 Velocity Global points.

Second was Alex Cerqueira (Iguatemi, Brazil), garnering 45 Velocity Global points.

Cerqueira delivered his own 2-for-2 outing, covering Pay Day Friday (United Pro Rodeo) for 85.5 points in Round 1, and 924G (Stockyards Pro Rodeo) for 86 points in the championship round.

As the final rider to be perfect inside Cowtown Coliseum on Thursday evening, Adriano Salgado (Batatais, Brazil) was third.

Salgado earned the podium finish via a pair of 85.5-point rides. He covered Brindle Bob (Carr Pro Rodeo) in Round 1 and bested Instant Regret (Stockyards Pro Rodeo) in the championship round.

Salgado left Fort Worth having netted 34 Velocity Global points.

Dustin Martinez (Canjilon, New Mexico) parlayed an 85.5-point ride atop Little Victories (Stockyards Pro Rodeo) in Round 1 into a fourth-place finish and 19 Velocity Global points.

Rounding out the Top 5 in fifth was Joao Ricardo Vieira (Itatinga, Brazil).

Fresh off his event win at the first iteration of the PBR Stockyards Showcase, Vieira continued his momentum in Round 1, reaching the whistle on Harlem Knight (Carr Pro Rodeo) for 84.5 points.

Vieira, however, was unable to cement his second victory in as many weeks when he was dispatched by Bottles Up (D4 Cattle/Melton Bull Co./Stockyards Pro Rodeo) in a quick 3.47 seconds.

The veteran Brazilian collected 15 Velocity Global points.

In the bull pen, Shakedown (D4 Cattle/Melton Bull Co./Stockyards Pro Rodeo) bucked supreme, crowned the Bull of The Event. Bucking in the championship round, Shakedown was marked an event-best 45 points for his 2.34-second buckoff of Sandro Batista (Pedra Preta, Brazil).
