Miss California Rodeo Salinas Contest Opens February 14th

Become an ambassador for the largest rodeo in California

SALINAS, CA – Young ladies who are passionate about the western lifestyle and promoting the rodeo industry can run for the title of Miss California Rodeo Salinas and become an ambassador for the largest professional rodeo in the state. Entries for the 2020 contest open on February 14th and close on May 4th. The competition is open to young women between 18 and 21 years of age who are representing either a recognized horsemen’s organization or another recognized non-commercial community organization. The winner will travel to various events promoting the California Rodeo Salinas throughout the year such as rodeos for special needs children, community celebrations, parades and other rodeos.

The contest consists of horsemanship, personality and appearance and scholarship categories; it starts on Wednesday, July 15th and Miss California Rodeo Salinas 2019 Kelsee French along with Rodeo President Dave Pedrazzi will present the winner of the 2020 contest with her title on Thursday, July 16th at the beginning of the first rodeo performance. The winner will receive a $2500 academic scholarship, a gold and silver trophy belt buckle and the use of a two-horse trailer for one year along with many other gifts and the privilege of wearing the Miss California Rodeo Salinas gold and silver tiara. “I am so thankful to be a part of the California Rodeo Salinas family and to represent the largest rodeo in the Golden State. Even though my year has just started, I’ve had such an amazing time and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the year holds,” said Miss California Rodeo Salinas 2019 Kelsee French.
